Woman first, mother second has been the driving force behind many of Alejandra’s decisions over the past sixteen years, including the decision to answer a somewhat elusive calling through poetry.
Alejandra is from San Diego and has no aspirations to leave; San Diego is too beautiful.
She considers her cousins her best friends. Nothing matters without them. Without them there is no love, no poetry.
